10 Things I love Wednesday!!

Well peeps, here I am with a little countdown of some things that i think are pretty darn great today.

Number 1!

My newly painted yellow nails! I have been wanting my nails yellow since the start of spring. I finally found the PERFECT shade this week at the nail place. Wahhoooo!

Number 2!

Old tables and vintage shoes. I NEED some precious vintage shoes. I'll take these, please!

Number 3!

These charms and buttons and dodads. Ahh!

Number 4!

Yes, as a matter of fact, I will take this vintage bedroom to go please....thank you! I mean really peeps. If you live in a place like this, how can you NOT be inspired!

Number 5!

Why can't Shane dress all cool and trendy like this guy? This would be such a great engagement photo...hmmm ideas, ideas!

Number 6!

This visual inspiration wall. I have one in my studio on corkboard and it is DEFINATELY not cool like this. I guess you know who's goin buy a cool frame this weekend....that would be me. I have one more wall in my studio empty and something like this would be perfect!

Number 7!

Okay so, believe it or not, working out at 5am is my new favorite thing. I have been in a weight loss plateau and my brother told me that a good idea might be to start working out in the morning first thing instead of right before i go to bed, for reasons of the metabolism. Well, I took his advice and this morning, I woke up at 4:45 and headed to the gym in Thibodaux. Let me just say that it was great. My workout was better, my day was better, and I actually had time to do stuff all afternoon. I know i only went one day but i am really going to make it a point to make this my new routine! (wow! i just really rambled on about that....sorry)

Number 8!

This cute little kit from Etsy.

Number 9!

Family birthday dinners. Oh i lovvvvvvvvvvve me some family...ALL TOGETHER!

Number 10!

The fact that I am getting, what I consider, tons of money back from my taxes. It is going into a savings and it will be my Vegas money. Now, i don't have to save anything else for the trip. Such a blessing.

Oh and thank you pumpkin pie for going through the headache of doing my taxes for me....you know how much i loves ya!! until wrinkles and beyond!!

Well guys, there you have it. I hope you enjoyed. Have a good..no a great rest of the week!

a night of challenges, laughter, and tons of fun

So, this past weekend, Vera and I were able to spend some hibernating time in my studio. It was a blast. To get us out of our creating rut, we came up with a couple of scrapbooking challenges for ourselves. Here are the results of the first challenge. The challenge was to use the color teal, the word simple, simply in the title, and stay away from layering paper as the background.

Vera's layout:

The second challenge was use the color red or red/orange, use the word age in the title, and divide the layout into equal sections. Here are the results:

Vera and I really enjoyed having much more structure. It made scrapping easier. We weren't just fumbling everywhere looking for product and ideas. We have decided to do it much more often. I also created some more layouts this weekend, and, I even did a layout today in like 30 minutes. Yep, you heard me, a layout on a Monday afternoon and it only took 30 minutes. I don't know what the deal with that was. Anyways, here are the other creations.

Okay so now I am off to the gym for a much needed workout. I swear I think I'm gaining weight and that is NOT NOT NOT even possible!!!! Anyways, I will see you soon, hopefully for a 10 things Wednesday! Muah peeps!

Easter Snapshots

This was the first Easter that was slightly bittersweet. My parents and my youngest brother were all in Colorade skiing for the week of Easter. (It's a long story why Copeland and I were unable to go!) So, Shane, Cope, and me braved Easter all alone. We normally go to our grandparents for some AMAZING bbq and a little TLC. However, both of my grandparents were sick and they decided not to do anything. It was very sad but we were able to go to Kasi's and spend some time with LuLu and Hayden. It was fun. Here are some snapshots from the day! (PS i messed with them in Picnik that is why they are all so random...i was just playing around)

Enjoy!

I will be back in a few minutes with some creations from this past week.

See ya in a jif peeps!

Success!

I would call today a success. I would not call it a success by looking at my bank account, however, by looking at my purchases, it was a success. Shane and I went to Magazine Street, downtown New Orleans, and the mall. I found TONS of clothes, none of which I need, and a couple of other little goodies. Here's a peek.

I got a couple of vintage pieces and a new CAMERA. Yayyy! I am so excited to see how the pictures come out. I got the Lomography Diana Dreamer camera. It is this all manual camera that takes dreamlike photos. The pictures are completely raw and fully flawed and I could not love them more.

Here's a look at what the photos look like.

It also has the option of pinhole photos. Here is a peek at one of those.

The camera is really confusing to use. It is a lot of steps and I am having to use the manual each and every time for help. I hope I get the hang of it soon. I am going to take it to LuLus tomorrow and try and get some shots of her egg hunting. Anyways, I am completely exhausted from all of the shopping and I can't wait to go to sleep. I am going to watch some TV and hit the sack. I hope you all have a happy and fun Easter.
