10 things I love Wednesday...

Well this 10 things I love Wednesday is going to be a little bit different. I have absolutely no time to find some things to put so I am going to put 10moments that I loved from this weekend. The weekend was amazing to say the least. I scrapbooked on Friday with the ladies and had a blast. I will share those projects that I completed later. On Saturday, I went to the christmas party at the Christmas Place with my mom. Let's just say we were absolutely giddy. The trees were fabulous. They were playing Christmas music and I almost wet my pants. I didn't buy anything though because I really need to look at what I have and then go pick out a few items. I completely forgot what I had and I didn't want to get anything that didn't go with my tree. I am headed back to buy what I want though. After the party, Shaen and I went to the mall. ONce again, I bought nothing. I want tons of boots and fall apparel but I gotta give my body a few more weeks. Then, on Sunday, I spent some quality time with my boo and my LuLu. It was such a yummy day...I love those days. Sweats, my boo, laziness, and LuLu. So....enough of that cheeze. Here are 10 moments from the weekend that I love!

Okay so I love these. I bought Maddie this Cinderella baby doll and she absolutely loves it. She rocks it and holds it against her face and says Awwww. It is the sweetest thing.

So that does it. I know that it is a lot of Ms. Madelyn but that is who I spent some time with this weekend. I'm so excited for this next weekend to get here. Ya'll know I live for them. Maddie is coming for a sleepover, my boo will be here, Hayden is having his birthday party, one of my best friend's is having her wedding shower, and a couple of other things are going down. Can't wait!

P.S. God is doing some serious work in my family right now and it is so nice to finally have some good things happening. He is so good and we don't even realize it most of the time.

A couple of projects

Soooo, today, I go my hair did, hit the tanning bed, and had an invigurating run, and I must say that i feel pretty darn good. It is so important to me to get back to that place when i feel good about myself and take care of my apperance. It has been a while since I have done so...

Anyways, this is one of the layouts that I did last week. I actually had a little time to create one day.

I really love that paper from Hambly. I need to get some more...

I also started on a little advent calendar for this holiday season. The idea is to do the advent calendar using the calendars from Jenni Bowlin. As a little extra, I wanna include little personal challenges for each day. On this one, I wrote: Get into the holiday spirit, watch a Christmas movie. I am looking forward to completing this little project. I was a little bummed out though when I was working on this. I didn't feel as inspired as I would have liked while working on a Christmas project. Hopefully this weekend's Christmas party will provide a boost. Here is a lil sneak peek of the calendar.

O by the way...head to Scrapalicious...they have all of the Sassafras. I finally completed my collection by buying the chipboard and paper whimsies....YUMMY!

Just wanted to give a little post...I am flipping all over it is FRIDAY tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!! Yahoooooo...Seriously I am completely beside myself. I will be sprinting from that school to the Taurus.

Praise him! Forever and Always!

The Return of 10 things I love Wednesday!

Well my blogging peeps, I am so sorry that I have not had a chance to post. To start, my students have been absolutely draining, I have also been helping Leslie out at the store a lot and I have not been home much during the weeknights. I started running again too and that takes some of my time, so, by the time I am home and settling down, I have no time to get on here before I bite the dust. Oh and my computer is still infested!! I am really missing my posts myself because they inspire me. So, here are 10 little things that I am digging this week.

The weekends
....Okay so at this point in my life I am literally living for the weekends. The weeks take such a toll on me and they are so draining. The weekends are complete bliss no matter what they hold. However, this weekend is going to be sooooo yummy. On Friday, I am scrapbooking with the ladies. On Saturday, My mother and I have been invited to the Christmas release party at The Christmas Place. This is the party where they debut their trees and have all of the amazing christmas decorations that they are famous for. If anyone knows me, I bought all of my decorations from this place and they are fabulous to say the least. I live and breathe for Novemeber and December. I am soooo looking forward to spending some big bucks on beautiful christmas things. Shane and I are also going shopping on Saturday and I can't wait. On Sunday, we are heading to church and then being lazy. I am telling you I'm so pumped for the weekend. I am hoping to get back to taking tons of pictures to document the weekend. I have not been taking photos like I used to and I must start that again.
Well, I hope to be posting soon. Thank God the week is almost over! I hope it's great for you!
Praise him oh so much!

New Header!

Just wanted to give a shout out to my girl Michelle Gautreaux and tell her thank you for my blog header. She did such a good job on it and I love it oh so much! Thanks girl....soooo talented. I have to figure out how to make it a lil bit smaller though. It is a bit big for me!

OH so bad and OH so good all rolled into one day

Alright my blogging peeps I truly apologize about the neglect but my computer is full of viruses and I can't turn it on until I get paid and buy a virus blocker for it. That my dears is not going to be until this Friday so you will have to be patient with the slacking until then. I can't post anything unless I come in the house and get on one of my family member's computers....sooooo that is why I am posting now. First things first...life has been way to hectic and it is only until something terrible happens that you stop and say...hold on life... i need a breather. Yesterday was an oh so bad kind of a day but one that I am now thankful for. My brother whom I dearly love was rushed to the emergency room because he felt as though his heart was popping out of his chest. He arrived and they realized that his heart was beating 201 beats per minute. Guys..that means bad news. They did tons of tests and they are still monitoring his heart and stuff like that so that they can figure out what is going on. He is home and just trying to relax and rest. My brother and I are super close and this little incident made me have to take a deep breath and realize that life is wayyyyyyyyyyyy too short to fot around doing useless things. This little incident is also completely ordained by God for a much bigger purpose that I really can't share with the entire blogging world. The things that are happening because of it are very personal but I just want to let you guys know that God deserves all the glory for what he is doing and how he is working. He doesn't always do it in the most comfortable...safe...on (our) time way but boy does he get his business done. I just want to let you know that I love my God and this whole thing is something that I am oh so thankful for.

IN OTHER NEWS...and this is the oh so good part, oh other than the God working thingie....MY LAYOUT IS ON THE SASSAFRAS BLOG!!!!!!!! yay! I was at the doctor's office getting a physical done today when the lady had a needle in my arm and my phone starting vibrating crazily. As soon as the nurse left...I pulled out my phone and checked my voicemail. It was Nicole Peterson and she was like..."Ash, your layout is on the sassafras blog..." I about peed my pants. I know that for some of you this is no big deal but for me IT IS. Okay so it's no design team or anything like that but Sassafras is the holy grail of scrapbooking. It is the BIG CHEESE and I couldn't be more honored. So, check it out! http://sassafras.typepad.com I will be trying to get on here to do 10 things I love Wednesday. I know that I owe you guys and there are so many things that I want to put on there. Well I hope that you are all having a good week. Thanks for listening.

P.S. Please keep my brother in your prayers. His name is Copeland. Thanks...

Praise the big guy as much as you can!

Peace Out Peeps! Ash*

The Best Weekend with the Best Peeps

Wow. This weekend was absolutely blissful. It was so much fun and so very relaxing. The weekend was filled with lots of creative ladies...lots of starbucks...lots of laughs...lots of layouts...lots of projects....and lots of food. (yes i gained back the five pounds that i lost...o darn) I attended Scrapfest with Leslie, Nicole P., Brandy, Choo Choo, Miss Peggy, and Ashley M. We had a blast. I also got to catch up with Anna Bess and the girls from Scrap Addicts and Simply Scrappin. The weekend just couldn't have been any better. My creative juices were definately flowing. I did ten layouts and a canvas. When I first started creating...nothing good was happening but after I got the rust off I was kicking. Leslie did an awesome school book for Pearl, Nicole did a fab mini album...u know how i love those, Brandy did some bomb diggity layouts as always, and Choo Choo was tearing it up with all the awesome Sassafras. Some of the ladies even used flowers that I had made on their layouts..i was so flattered. I just really needed this weekend to set me back in focus in my creative mind. Here is some of the stuff that I did.

So this weekend definately gave me back some confidence that I need right now to move forward with all sorts of ideas. I even had people taking pictures of my work. I was so thrilled. I feel that I need to really get back to making my creative life one of my top priorities. So this week there must be: JOURNALING-SOUL SEARCHING-CREATING-PRAYING-WORSHIP-AND RESEARCH....I know that i have also been missing 10 things i love Wednesday. I will make it up tomorrow.. (i hope)...I also made some background paper using some Tim stamps that Leslie is already requesting. I will share that tomorrow i'm off to add some more stuff to it....thanks for keeping up with this crazee blog. love you guys.
Praise him for all those peeeps that bring out the best!
